They rescue a person who has been misplaced at sea for weeks and survives by consuming tomato sauce

(CNN) — A Dominica man who spent 24 days adrift within the Caribbean Sea says he survived on little greater than tomato sauce.

47-year-old Elvis Francois, 120 nautical miles (about 220 kilometers) northwest of Puerto Bolivar, Colombia, after a aircraft noticed the phrase “assist” scrawled on the hull of his sailboat, the Navy stated in an announcement Thursday in Colombiana.

“I’ve no meals. It was the ketchup bottle that was on the boat, garlic powder and maggi (rooster inventory cubes) so I combined it with some water,” Francois stated in a video offered by the Colombian army.

Francois stated he was repairing his boat close to the Dutch facet of the island of St. Martin in December when adversarial climate situations put the vessel out to sea.
