European Prize for the Citizen Science challenge on inhabitants migration through which UBU participates

The challenge, which is a continuation of an earlier model (GEOVACUI-1), was funded by the Spanish Basis for Science and Expertise (Fecyt). Led by the Complutense College of Madrid, it had scholarly participation from the Universities of Barcelona, Burgos, Málaga and Seville. It’s a pilot challenge for NEWSERA and is listed on the Citizen Science Observatory in Spain and at eu-citizen.science.
This challenge goals to handle the phenomenon of inhabitants migration in rural areas, and unify the tutorial perspective with the citizen, by encouraging participatory methodologies. The work targeted on a spread of initiatives favoring or detrimental to inhabitants stabilization in rural Spain and on figuring out particular components of fine apply. Likewise, it seeks to open strains of debate to deepen, in a collaborative method, the information of the causes, penalties, issues and alternatives related to the inhabitants migration state of affairs in these areas and to stimulate the participation of residents in analysis actions, as a way to promote scientific tradition in society.
For awarding this prize, the jury evaluated the challenge’s contribution to the dialogue and highlighting the problem of rural inhabitants migration in Spain, in addition to the open actions developed to advertise scientific tradition, along with the event of a repository with bibliographic supplies, good practices, interactive mapping with initiatives, The doc accommodates the important components of fine practices, suggestions, conclusions and proposals.
